Because the concertina folded structure is so strong, it can handle up to 1.5" of water in positive or negative pressure. That's about 0.005 psi.
Here are the benefits:
In Positive Pressure HEPA filter mode, the Amaircare 4000 draws dirty air from outside, filters it through an activated carbon HEPA filter element, and forces super clean air into the shelter. This arrangement protects what is inside the shelter from airborne contamination outside the shelter.
Imagine a room cleaner inside than it is outside. It even stays tthat way if a window or door is opened. Because the air is pumped in at a rate that is greater than it can leak out, a positive pressure results. Positive pressure means flow will always occur from the inside to the outside. That's how you can be sure the air inside is clean.
In Negative Pressure HEPA filter mode, the Amaircare 4000 draws dirty air form the inside, filters, it through an activated carbon HEPA filter element, and forces super clean air out to the ambienct environment. This arrangement protects what's outside the shelter from airborne contamination inside the shelter.
Before 9/11 we would never have dreamed our shelter would be used for security inspection stations and mail opening kiosks.
We can only do our part solving fast shelter problems for our customers affordably. In this case, an SS1010 shelter, a re-usable storage bag, and an Amaircare 4000 HEPA filter system (capable of positive or negative pressure).
